ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Will they stay or will they go?

Those questions were on the minds of football fans outside the Edward Jones Dome on Sunday, before and after what might’ve been the Rams final season-opener in Saint Louis.

KMOX reached out to some of the tailgating crowd at nearby parking lots for thoughts:

“The stadium will get passed. I think we’ll build it. I think they’ll stay.”

“I think they might go. I will be done with NFL football at that point. I’ll be going to Mizzou games instead and be done forever.”

“It’s all up in the air. This could be the final home opener here. We don’t want it to be, but they’ll probably fill the void with someone.”

“Hopefully Mr. Kroenke listens to this. You have a fan base that is more loyal than anyplace you will ever go. We are here. We are loud. We may be small in numbers, but we represent.”

Rams owner Stan Kroenke has reportedly told the NFL he wants to build a new football stadium complex in Inglewood, California and move his team there.

NFL owners will be hearing from the St. Louis stadium task force at an upcoming meeting.

The Rams defeated the Seahawks 34-31 on Sunday, to begin the season 1-0.

The stadium looked half-full, even though the team announced nearly 52,000 of the 66,000 capacity tickets were distributed.
