ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - With the Rams entering their final season lease at the Edward Jones Dome, a grassroots effort is underway to show ownership how much fan support there is in St. Louis.

A “Keep the Rams in St. Louis” rally, Saturday, at Laclede’s Landing drew lots of blue and gold – and some optimism about the team’s play.

“It’s been bad for a while, but now it’s up and coming. It’s going to get better and better and better. It’s gonna have to,” one attendee said.

One Rams fan wishes owner Stan Kroenke would say something- anything – about his ultimate plan for the franchise, “It’s frustrating, but you’ve just got to stay strong. If he moves the team, maybe at least we’ve had a strong enough showing that somebody else will move their team here.”

Another rally attendee shared this outlook, “If the team leaves, the money leaves. The Rams bring money for restaurants and other downtown businesses. When teams come in from out of town there’s revenue for the city.”

Rally organizers say they have thousand of “likes” on their Facebook page and will post information about any future events there.
